Love is a Working Title: 2026

Friends, it’s somehow already that time again.

That magical time of the year when I share five stories from my love life with the internet.

If this is your first encounter with Love is a Working Title, you’re in for a treat.

Love is a Working Title has been a passion project of mine for the past few years, and it started out as interviewing my friends and family about what love meant to them because I’ve never personally been in love.

It was on hiatus for a bit, but I brought it back a couple of years ago with a twist. Instead of asking my friends and family about their experiences, I decided to share my own failed tales of romance, if you can call them that.

I try to be as painfully honest as possible in these stories, even when it doesn’t make me look the best.

I keep doing it because it’s a) cathartic and b) one of the most well-received series I’ve ever written in my entire life.

So how does this all work?

Every Friday in February (the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th), you’ll get a brand-new story from the vault, with a double release on the 13th in honor of Valentine’s.

I also have some disclaimers for you.

  1. If you know me at all, you know I take pride in being honest in my writing. However, I’ve changed the names of everyone involved in each story, and I also won’t be sharing any personal details that aren’t absolutely vital to the story; those aren’t my stories to tell.
  1. As always, keep in mind that everything written here is from my POV. I try to be as fair as possible, but there will always be a little inherent bias because I’m writing from my perspective and perception. I might share some commentary here and there, but I don’t know what other people were thinking in most of these scenarios, and I will always tell you when I’m inserting my opinion.
  1. Some of these stories will make you scream at the screen because it was so clear that someone either liked me, and I didn’t take the hint, or didn’t like me, and I didn’t take the hint. I promise you that hindsight is 20/20, and I’m right there with you.

All I ask of you is to remember that I haven’t dated anyone in six years (or even tried, really, outside of trying to reconnect with Bryce back in 2024), so these stories are years old, and I’ve grown A LOT.

Okay, I think we’ve sufficiently covered everything we need to.

Love is a Working Title 2026 will include stories from the vault about:

  • Tom
  • Peter
  • Jack
  • Jacob
  • John

Oops, I forgot one thing.

We have one more topic to discuss. Yes, I’m queer, but I’ve just had more dating experiences with men. I can assure you, I am very much also attracted to women and non-binary peeps.

Okay, that should sincerely do us for disclaimers.

So, friends, grab a snack and jot these dates down in your calendars.

It’s time for Love is a Working Title: 2026.
