Love is a Working Title: 2025

Well, friends, guess who’s back at it again?

Y’all LOVED hearing all about my romantic endeavors last year (we’re talking 100+ views per blog), and it feels good to get them out, so I’m left with no other choice but to share five new stories from my past.

But, let’s back up…

If you’re new around these parts, Love is a Working Title is a project I started years ago where I interviewed my friends and family about love and heartbreak because I’ve never been in love.

It went on hiatus for a little bit, but I decided to bring it back last year and share five stories with the internet, changing no details—only names.

And, it remains one of the most-read series I’ve ever written.

So, flash forward to now.

Each Friday in February (the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th), you’re going to get a different story of failed romance, with a double release on Valentine’s Day.

However, if you know me at all, we have to lay out a few disclaimers first.

First and foremost, like I mentioned, I’m changing the names of everyone involved in the story, to avoid putting anyone on blast. Additionally, I’m not going to include any personal details of those involved that aren’t pertinent to the story, as that information isn’t mine to share.

Secondly, I’ll mention this throughout each story, but keep in mind that all of this is from my perspective. I’m not a mind reader, nor am I here to make assumptions. I may throw out what I think was happening, but again, this is from my POV, and I’ll try to remain as unbiased as possible. This includes sharing parts that make me look bad, because it’s only fair.

Lastly, there are going to be parts in these stories that are gonna make you want to throw your phone or laptop across the room because it’ll be obvious that a) this person liked me, and I screwed it up or b) I should’ve taken the hint that this person didn’t like me, but didn’t.

I promise that I’ve grown a lot since these stories, and now I only make people want to throw their phones or laptops across the room because I have hot takes on movies.

Alrighty, that should do us for disclaimers, so it’s time for a little teaser…

This year’s five stories will focus on:

  • Spenser
  • Jane
  • Riley
  • Noah
  • Oliver

I also want to quickly touch on the fact that I’m queer, but I’ve simply had more experiences with men than women. Also, Jane’s story is set at a church camp, so it should be very obvious that I’ve had my fair share of stereotypical queer experiences, thank you.

So, grab your popcorn and mark your calendars, dear readers.

Love is a Working Title: 2025 is coming your way.
