It’s so odd how you can associate someone with a piece of media, be it a song, movie, or show. Despite the emotion, it’s locked into your brain.
Self-admittedly, I’m more of a movie girlie than a music girlie. But, surprisingly, I tend to associate people with songs more than movies. And, I have a mile-long list of songs that I associate with people in my life or people who have since left my life.Â
Now, before I do this, I want to be EXTREMELY CLEAR. Yes, I’m about to list some of those songs. No, I’m not going to elaborate on them further… at least for now. I am also not doing this to start drama.Â
I’m just a writer, man. I put the words in my head down on paper. I was watching Just Friends of all things, and BOOM, this idea popped into my head.
I can’t promise I won’t talk about some of the people who these songs are associated with at some point. Quite frankly, I’ve already written about some of them. So, we’re just going to leave it here.
I don’t wish any of these people ill. I hope they’re all doing well. In fact, I hope they’re thriving. However, some people are only in your life for a brief time, and that’s okay.
Also, I haven’t always been the easiest person to be around. I used to drink heavily and had a lot of shit to work through. I’m definitely not innocent in a lot of this, and I don’t claim to be.
I believe that’s enough context, so here are some of the songs I will always associate with people.
(And yes, I know how positively stupid this is).
